1998 GMC K2500 with Maxidas DS708 cannot communicate with ATC.

    I'm newbie to Autel but very well versed in automotive electronics.  

    I have a NP246 4 button Automatic Transfer Case and have checked that the Transfer case fuse is good.  All other ECM and TCM data and control working fine with MaxiDas 708, ( Last revision being 2013) 

    I get the "Not Communicating with ..." display.  I have checked all the suggestions but to no avail.work.

    Tried many settings but this is what should work when I go to Data Display - ATC 
    Selected GM v7.00
    1998
    LD truck
    Power Train J 7.4
    Chassis K 4 speed automatic without airpump

    When I go to Data Display - ATC
    I get the "Not Communicating with ..." display.  I have checked all the suggestions but to avail.

    [Also if I skip the ATC data and go to special features it acts like it is communicating and brings up the control display screen but actually nothing is working.]

    I have a  Blue Driver tool and it can communicate and read TCCM.  I have replaced the shifter motor and encoder and want to calibrate the new part.
